This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit the AF-X website, contact us, request a demonstration, attend an event, subscribe to communications or otherwise interact with AF-X.
01Scope and responsibility
This policy applies to personal data collected through the AF-X website, demonstrations, resource requests, events and other AF-X business interactions.
AF-X is responsible for this public website experience. The specific entity responsible for a contracted service or business interaction will be identified at the point of collection or in the applicable agreement.
02Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Your name, company, job title, country and business contact details
- Product interests and information included in an enquiry, demonstration request or other communication
- Information provided through events, forms, surveys or resource requests
- IP address, browser, device and requested-page information used to deliver and protect the website
- Website usage information where the relevant optional cookie category has been enabled
- Your cookie and consent preferences
A first-party consent cookie records the cookie categories you accept or reject. Optional analytics and marketing technologies remain blocked unless you actively enable the relevant category.
03How information is collected
Information may be provided directly through enquiry, demonstration, event and resource-request forms; collected automatically when you use the website; received through another business interaction; or obtained from lawful public and professional sources. We do not currently offer social-media sign-in.
Providing personal data is generally voluntary. If required information is not supplied, we may be unable to respond to a request or provide a requested resource or demonstration.
04Purposes and legal bases
We process personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and arrange demonstrations
- Provide requested information, resources, products or services
- Manage prospective-customer, customer and partner relationships
- Administer events and communications
- Improve and protect our website and digital experience
- Meet contractual, legal and regulatory obligations
Depending on the context, processing may be based on taking steps at your request, performance of a contract, compliance with law, our legitimate interests or your consent. You can stop marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in the message or by contacting us.
AF-X does not currently use information collected through this public website to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing. If this changes, we will provide the information and safeguards required by applicable law.
05Customer and product data
When AF-X processes personal data through an AF-X product or service on behalf of a customer, the customer generally determines why and how that data is processed. The respective responsibilities of AF-X and the customer are governed by the applicable customer agreement and, where relevant, a Data Processing Addendum.
Questions about personal data held in an AF-X product should normally be directed first to the organisation that provided the product or service to you.
06Sharing and group processing
We may share personal information with authorised AF-X personnel, hosting and technology providers, professional advisors, event partners and other processors that support the purposes described in this policy.
We do not sell personal data. Service providers are required to protect the information and use it only for authorised purposes.
07International transfers
AF-X operates internationally. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
08Retention and security
Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including contractual, operational, legal, regulatory, dispute-resolution and enforcement requirements.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. More information is available on our Security and Data Residency.
09Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority

10Cookies and external services
AF-X uses cookies and similar technologies for necessary website functionality and, where you allow them, analytics and marketing. See our Cookie Policy for the current categories and retention information.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer.
The website may link to external websites and social platforms. A link does not itself authorise those services to place optional cookies through AF-X. If embedded third-party functionality is introduced, it will remain blocked until the relevant consent category is enabled. External services operate under their own privacy and cookie notices.
11Contact and updates
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to DPO@thegatewaycorp.com.
We may update this policy when our services, processing activities or legal obligations change. The current version and its last-updated date will always be published on this page.
